Our Curriculum
Our Curriculum at Enriching Education
At Enriching Education, every pupil follows a curriculum built around them. Alongside a strong core of literacy, numeracy, science, PSHE and digital skills, Business and Enterprise sits at the heart of our offer, helping pupils develop real-world skills, confidence and independence.
Our curriculum is personalised to each pupil’s needs, interests and future goals. A different environment should never mean lower expectations.

It is vital our pupils have a positive educational experience from the moment they are picked up by their key worker to the snacks they eat during the day and the content they learn. All lessons are planned and delivered by qualified teachers with years of experience with SEN pupils.
Pupil daily routine consists:
Collection 8.30 - 9.30am
Arrival 10.00am
Lesson 1 10.00 - 10.45

A typical weekly timetable consists of 10 lessons, each pupil has an individual version.

We follow a structured 12-week core programme designed to reset and re-engage pupils with learning, and to rebuild a genuine love of education.
Week 1 - 4: Settling in and building trusted relationships with key workers and teachers
Week 5 - 8: Rebuilding routines, confidence and core learning skills
Week 9 - 12: Preparing for a paced, planned return towards the classroom
Once trusted relationships are built, a pupil-paced reintegration programme begins, working with the pupil's school to plan a return to their classroom. We recognise that every pupil's timeline is different: some pupils need longer than 12 weeks, and we remain flexible, working with schools and families to make sure reintegration happens in a way that leads to lasting success, not a rushed return that risks breaking down.

KS4: keeping future options open
Time away from mainstream school should not mean missing out on important GCSE choices. At KS4, we work closely with each pupil and their school of registration to build a personalised programme around their existing options, needs and future goals.
Alongside our core Business and Enterprise pathway, pupils may continue subjects such as:
- Humanities
- Art and other creative subjects
- Music
- Other agreed options, where these can be accommodated with the pupil’s school
Where possible, we help pupils stay on track with the subjects they have already chosen and maintain a clear route towards their GCSEs.
Pupils on our KS4 pathway will usually remain with Enriching Education through to the completion of their GCSEs, working in partnership with their school of registration, which remains responsible for exam entries and accreditation.
