Qualified Teacher-led Alternative Provision for pupils in Hampshire
A different route back into learning.
Enriching Education is a ‘non-school’ Alternative Provision designed to help pupils rebuild confidence, connection and a positive relationship with education. Through a calm, nurturing and trauma-informed approach, we create a safe space where learning feels achievable, purposeful and relevant. Our personalised curriculum works alongside each pupil’s mainstream school and the national curriculum, providing structure without unnecessary pressure. All lessons are taught by qualified teachers who also act as consistent key workers.
Qualified teacher-led lessons
Part-time, small-group education placements for pupils, delivered by experienced qualified teachers at a high staff-to-pupil ratio.
Our staff have experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs and a strong track record of building trusted relationships, providing consistent mentoring and helping young people rebuild routines, confidence and positive learning habits.
Our pupils will meet their key worker ahead of a placement, share worries and sign a learning contract.
Engaging curriculum designed to inspire
A strong academic core of literacy, numeracy and science, combined with engaging Business and Enterprise learning, PSHE, life skills, social development and preparation for adulthood.
Our curriculum page outlines a typical timetable, but every pupil’s programme is personalised. We work with the young person, their family and their school to co-produce a timetable that reflects their needs, interests and future goals. Sessions are adapted to the right pace and level to support successful engagement, build confidence and enable meaningful achievement.
Free Transport
As part of our package, each pupil’s key worker is responsible for collecting them and transporting them safely to and from their sessions, including returning them to their registered school or home where appropriate.
All vehicles used for pupil transport are quality-assured through regular safety checks and are fitted with dash cameras to support the safety and safeguarding of pupils and staff during journeys. Transport arrangements are planned carefully around each pupil’s individual needs and agreed placement arrangements.

I have worked in secondary education for more than 18 years as a qualified teacher, curriculum leader and recently qualified SENCo, teaching and supporting young people across mainstream and specialist settings in Hampshire and beyond. My professional background is principally in Business and Enterprise education, alongside experience of Economics, ICT, Digital Skills and vocational learning, and I have held a range of curriculum, pastoral and school leadership responsibilities throughout my career.
Over those years, I have worked with many bright and capable young people who, for a variety of reasons, have found it increasingly difficult to access a traditional mainstream school environment. For some, SEND, SEMH needs, anxiety, poor attendance or previous experiences of education have created significant barriers to learning. I have seen how quickly a young person can become defined by their attendance or behaviour when, underneath this, there is often a pupil who simply needs education to be delivered differently.
Enriching Education grew from my belief that a different environment should never mean lower expectations.
I wanted to create a small, nurturing and purposeful alternative provision where young people can rebuild their relationship with education while continuing to learn, make progress and prepare properly for adulthood.
As a qualified teacher and SENCo, I bring together academic teaching and SEND-informed practice. Our curriculum uses Business and Enterprise as an engaging foundation through which pupils can develop practical English and maths, communication, confidence, independence and employability skills, alongside PSHE, life skills and preparation for their next destination.
We will keep groups intentionally small, understand each young person as an individual and work closely with their school, family and other professionals to create a qualified teacher-led personalised curriculum for each pupil. Our staff to pupil ratio remains very generous for the area.
My ambition is simple: to provide young people who may have struggled within mainstream education with another route to succeed; not an easier education, but one that is better suited to helping them re-engage, achieve and move forward.
